The TriploD EEA And Norway Grants co-financed transfer of knowledge project carried out in collaboration with ECWT aims to increase the democratic involvement and civic participation of citizens, by strengthening the links between Democracy, Demography, and Human Rights.

4367 People participated in 238 sessions and delivered 4090 survey replies during the duration of the project!

Project Details:

The United Nation´s (UN) 2nd Open Call for good practices, success stories, and lessons in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from December 2020 to March 2021 which reviewed more than 700 proposals from around the world identified.

The Triplo D Project, implemented by Cáritas Coimbra, with the expert guidance of the European Centre for Women and Technology – ECWT, Secretariat in Oslo, Norway was one of the good practices approved by the UN.

The UN acknowledged, that since 2019, the project has developed several activities, such as education/training sessions and school and community discussion groups, seeking to educate and empower different target groups, from preschool children to older adults (65+) bringing all citizens independent of age groups and socio-economic context to debate topics transversal to all generations and relevant to the whole community.

ECWT´s expertise assisted the organization with good examples of innovative digital tools and digital skills as well as safeguarding the gender dimension and contributing to the empowerment of women.
