The third annual UK Women in Tech Week 2026

Women in Tech Week 2026 will take place from 12–16 October 2026, bringing together women, technology professionals, industry leaders and organisations from across the UK for five days dedicated to learning, networking and advancing women’s careers in technology. Organised by WeAreTechWomen, the nationwide initiative returns for its third year following successful editions in 2024 and 2025. The week is also timed to coincide with Ada Lovelace Day, celebrating the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The 2026 programme will feature more than 100 events, including in-person meetings across several UK cities alongside virtual sessions accessible to a wider audience. Activities range from keynote presentations and expert panels to interactive workshops, fireside chats, career sessions and networking events.

A major focus of Women in Tech Week is helping women develop their careers, strengthen their professional networks and prepare for emerging technologies. Topics for 2026 include breaking barriers, developing future skills, leadership, AI adoption, allyship and sponsorship, as well as celebrating the achievements of women working across the technology sector.

The initiative comes at an important time. Women still represent only around one-fifth of the UK technology workforce, while research highlighted by WeAreTechWomen shows that women are leaving the industry at a considerably higher rate than men. Addressing these challenges is increasingly important as demand for digital and AI skills continues to grow.

Women in Tech Week is therefore more than a series of events. It provides a national platform for sharing knowledge, creating opportunities and encouraging organisations to take practical action towards greater inclusion and equality in technology.

From 12 to 16 October 2026, professionals, organisations and supporters will have the opportunity to connect, learn and contribute to a stronger and more inclusive future for women in tech.
