Study on Role of Women in Energy Transition
ECWT´s collaborating partner empirica commissioned by CINEA
ECWT´s collaborating partner Empirica commissioned by CINEA, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (Contract CINEA/2021/OP/0012) is carrying out a twelve-month in-depth investigation in all EU member countries, as well as in Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK, USA, Canada and Australia with:
  • The goal to analyze the role of women in energy transition and the impact of gender imbalances; explore challenges related to gender equality in the sector; recommend steps for progress, promising policy approaches and show best practices in stakeholder initiatives.
  • The methods applied: representative interview survey (CATI) of more than 2,800 companies, online surveys targeting persons working in the sector, analysis of secondary data and good practices; forecast of the share of women in education and labour market related to the energy transition until 2050.
